Graphic Liner
We have seen many trends go in and out of style throughout the years. While we could definitely live with some of them never making a return again (can we please never bring back acid wash), there are some trends that should definitely stay. Graphic eyeliner is one of the trendiest looks at the moment, and we are obsessed. This makeup look consists of using eyeliner to create geometric shapes and designs. Sometimes you just want to stand out, and if that’s your goal, then you are in the right place. Arguably the simplest way to take your makeup game to the next level, graphic eyeliner is fun, easy, and has no boundaries. Graphic eyeliner is for people of all makeup skill levels, and that’s why we love it so much. Whether you’re new to the game, or practically the next Nikkie Tutorials, there is a graphic eyeliner look that’s perfect for you! Also, you won’t have to worry about breaking the bank since you can achieve this look with only one product.
It’s called liner for a reason.
Graphic eyeliner can be as creative or as simple as you want it to be. If you are new to makeup, simple line work is a great way to take your makeup to the next level of glam. All that you need to accomplish this look is a thin-tipped liquid eyeliner. We have found that a brush tip works better than a felt tip when doing these kinds of looks because you can get opaque, crisp lines easier. Try to do all of these looks with your eyes opened so that the end result is not warped from doing it on closed eyelids.
If you can do a wing, you can do this look.
One of the best things about makeup is that it has absolutely zero rules. You don’t have to do a basic black cat eye on your outer corner. Play around with it, draw whatever shape you want. A perk of this style of graphic eyeliner is that it isn’t super noticeable. This style is perfect for any situation where you want to express your inner creativity, but you don’t necessarily want to be a beacon for attention. You could wear a look like this to class, a party, or even to the grocery store. The outer corner of your eye is where a lot of people have the most space, meaning that you have a perfect canvas right here.
Kind of like a cat-eye, but better.
This is one of the most classic graphic eyeliner styles besides Twiggy’s iconic bottom lashes. With this look being relatively easy and flattering on a lot of different people and eye shapes, there’s a reason that you see this look so often. Make sure that you aren’t doing the top line in your crease since it would just disappear when you open your eyes. For this look, try putting a dot of concealer on your lash line and then looking straight up. When you do this, the concealer should transfer to a space on your upper lid. This little hack will give you a good guideline of where that top line should go.
Taking the wing in winged liner literally.
Don’t be threatened by the extravagance of this graphic eyeliner style. With a little bit of practice and a whole lot of patience, anyone can achieve this look. This butterfly liner trend first blew up on Tik Tok -as most things seem to do nowadays. This design looks especially good using white since the white creates a more ethereal and dainty appearance rather than being overbearing. White eyeliner also helps to make your eyes look bigger and more open. If you don’t think that you have enough lid space for this style, try going out and down with the wings instead of up.
